Three Poems
"WELCOME, CITIZEN"
You go out to drink brandy
and arrive home to realize that you haven’t eaten
for two days, and melt butter vulgarly
to dip with crackers
When
the mirror wakes to show you your costume
and you had spent indecently
with a cosmetologist
and the result was like… was like…
When you went to buy lace from someone in a headset
LALA & KORESH
We go to visit
our favorite dog. Turns out
a baby had his cheeks ripped.
Injury to the child by the footless dog LaLa.
Our dog was a cub, a cub with arms,
beat the shit out of me and my sister.
That was our night
every night.
Beat me beat me.
Then the master puts him in a grab
and sets him on a hinge.
Half an hour,
it doesn’t take more.
A dog is a dog, principally.
Once in a while he may begin to review
the hierarchy,
claim the position of leader, take a bite,
terrorize the wife and child.
Koresh, my sweetest heart,
his fleece
was like this…
Quiet! Don’t you hear something coming?
Yes, honey…
Our Koresha…
THE CENTAUR
Am I a boy or girl?
It seems like there is a skirt
the colors canonically girl
but perhaps boy?
I will grow where I want to grow.
Human-horse innervation.
I will ride my motorcycle and never enter a turn

Nicolás Dupont
Nicolás Dupont is a visual artist currently based in Leipzig, Germany.
In his paintings, Dupont playfully explores everyday themes by closely observing his surroundings and trying to create great tension through small variations of reality.
With a distanced gaze, he exposes the bizarre core of the banal and lends it a new dimension through vivid colors and energetic compositions. Oscillating between figuration and abstraction, his works invite us to experience both cheerful and thought-provoking moments in a constant interplay.
He studied at the Dresden University of Fine Arts (HfBK), where he received his diploma in fine arts in 2012. In 2010, he moved to Amelie von Wulffen's class at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. From 2012 to 2014, Dupont was a master student of Prof. Kerbach. In 2013, he was awarded the Robert Sterl Prize by the Dresden District Collective Foundation.
His work has been exhibited internationally in cities such as Berlin, Paris, London, Vienna and Prague.
